Первое является наречием степени, второе - наречием времени: we are no longer working there/we do not work there any longer мы там больше (уже) не работаем; don't tell me any more about it не рассказывай мне больше (ничего) об этом; I can't stand this noise any longer я больше/дольше не могу оставаться в этом шуме. Оборот no longer обычно стоит перед глаголом: she no longer works here, а оборот any longer, в конце предложения: she doesn't work here any longer. (4.)
